A little newsflash from DataViz, the developer which has brought us Documents To Go:

  1. Documents To Go was updated yesterday and now supports Android 2.0 devices like the new Motorola Droid. In addition, improvements have been made, so that devices with higher display resolutions can now be fully utilized.
  2. There is currently a special sale: If you buy DTG until November 16. at the Android store, you will pay US$5 off the regular price: US$14,99 instead of US$19,99.

That's really a fair price!

The recently announced operating system update to Android 2.0 is already casting a shadow. The most visible Google announced recently:

Google Maps Navigation

This solution will be available for free on all Android 2.0 devices and loads all map data live from the Web (using your data plan). Unfortunately, it's only available in the US yet.

Among the features: Of course, it uses Google's intelligent search suggests (eg. a search for "supermarket" will show your nearby shopping temples), and the well-known Voice Search (which you have since Android 1.5). Display mode can be set to the usual 2D and 3D views (both with  maps and satellite view), in addition the new 'Street View' (see screenshots).
